Megan Tomlinson is an investigative researcher, dedicated advocate, and the founder of Silver Lining of Hope, Inc. Her journey into the world of justice began in her childhood home, where she and her mother, Leslie “Hope” Houston, bonded over true crime and legal trials. Little did she know, those hours spent analyzing cases would one day become the foundation for her life’s work. Megan’s path has been shaped by resilience. A survivor of domestic violence by age 18, she transformed her personal experience into action. By 20, she began teaching herself Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) and assisting with missing persons cases, driven by a simple desire to do more than just "consume" true crime, but to truly help families in need. In a tragic turn of events, Megan’s skills were put to the ultimate test when her own mother died under suspicious circumstances. When the official investigation was closed and her death was ruled "Undetermined", Megan refused to stop. Drawing on years of self-taught research and investigative techniques, she independently reviewed the evidence. Her work led to the case being reopened within five months; two months later, an arrest was made and a murder charge was filed. While many see her story as a tragedy, Megan sees it as a calling. She believes her life’s experiences—both the painful and the professional—prepared her for that exact moment. Today, she leads the H-O-P-E Initiative, providing case analysis and advocacy so that no family has to navigate the search for answers alone.
