Andi Madison Wagner was 24 years old when she disappeared from southern Indiana in August 2022.

Andi was last seen leaving her grandparents’ home in Evansville on August 6, 2022. An associate of Andi’s later stated that he took her to his home in Newburgh, Indiana. According to his account, he fell asleep around 2:30 a.m. and Andi left the residence around that same time.

However, questions remain about what happened after Andi left her grandparents’ home—including what evidence, if any, independently confirms where she went that night or when she left the Newburgh residence.

When Andi’s mother, Elane, learned that her daughter was missing, she began trying to reach her. During one call to Andi’s phone, the call was answered, but Elane was hung up on. When she attempted to call again, she discovered that her number had been blocked.

Elane became one of the strongest voices searching for her daughter. Tragically, she passed away in December 2023 without ever learning what happened to Andi.

The Investigation

Andi’s disappearance has remained under investigation by local, state and federal authorities.

In May 2024, Evansville Police confirmed that EPD, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Indiana State Police (ISP) searched three locations in Oakland City, Indiana, after the FBI received a tip connected to Andi’s disappearance. The Gibson County Sheriff’s Office and Oakland City Police Department also assisted with the searches.

Authorities confirmed that evidence was collected during the searches and sent to the Indiana State Police laboratory for testing. Other locations have also reportedly been searched during the investigation.

Despite these investigative efforts, Andi has never been found, and no one has been charged in connection with her disappearance.

Nearly four years have passed since Andi walked out of her grandparents’ home.

Where did she go after she left? Who saw or spoke with her in the hours and days surrounding her disappearance? Is there evidence that can independently establish her movements that night? And who answered Andi’s phone when her mother called?
