BRYAN "VLADEK" HASEL
Case Overview
Bryan Vladek Hasel disappeared near the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Florida on November 6, 2021. The 22-year-old former Marine was last seen on surveillance and body camera footage leaving Foxtail Coffee after being issued a trespass warning. He walked away calmly, heading west, and has not been seen since.
Originally born in Russia and adopted as a child, Bryan—who often went by “Vladek”—had been struggling with mental health challenges in the time leading up to his disappearance, including depression and increasingly erratic behavior. His family last heard from him in the early morning hours of November 6, when he spoke briefly with his sister and appeared normal.
There have been a few unconfirmed sightings after that day, including one at his apartment complex roughly nine days later, but no verified contact or communication has occurred since. Despite extensive searches, no definitive evidence has been found to explain what happened.
Bryan is described as friendly and talkative, often striking up conversations with strangers. He was known to spend time at coffee shops, basketball courts, and quiet outdoor spaces, and had expressed interest in traveling—particularly the Appalachian Trail. He also had connections or possible travel history in states including Texas, New Hampshire, California, Michigan, and Florida.
Investigators have not publicly confirmed foul play, and his case remains classified as endangered missing. His family believes someone may have encountered him without realizing he is a missing person and continues to urge anyone with information—no matter how small—to come forward.
