Missing Person Resources
NamUs (National Missing and Unidentified Persons System) is a free, national resource that helps families, law enforcement, and medical professionals work together to identify the missing and the unidentified. Supported by the U.S. Department of Justice, NamUs offers forensic testing, analytical tools, and a public database where families can search for answers and submit information about their loved ones.

The Charley Project is an online database that profiles more than 17,000 long-term and “cold case” missing persons across the United States. It serves as a publicity and information clearinghouse, compiling case details from news reports, law enforcement, public databases, and family submissions into one accessible place. While The Charley Project does not actively investigate cases, it helps keep them visible—especially those overlooked by mainstream media—by preserving critical information, photos, and timelines that assist both the public and investigators in the search for the missing.
