MELINDA KAREN CREECH
Case Overview
Melinda Karen "Mindy" Creech disappeared from Anderson, Indiana, in 1979 at the age of 13.
After being arrested in connection with a juvenile burglary case, Mindy was placed at the Blake Home, a juvenile facility. By October 31, 1979, records indicate she was no longer there and was described as being "on the run."
For many years, her siblings were told that Mindy had been identified among unidentified remains found in another state. However, after their mother's death in 2003, they discovered records showing that those remains had actually been ruled out as Mindy. They also found additional documents that raised questions about what happened after her disappearance.
More than 45 years later, Mindy's family is still searching for answers and hoping to learn what became of their sister.
